Not every workload can move to the public cloud. Data residency rules, existing hardware investments, and security requirements keep many platform teams running Kubernetes in their own data centers, often with deployment processes that are slower and more manual than their public cloud equivalents.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll close that gap. Working on a VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) cluster, you'll set up a GitOps workflow with Argo CD that turns a Git commit into an automated, auditable deployment. You'll connect a repository, define your application declaratively, and watch changes roll out and roll back without touching kubectl.
You'll leave with a working pipeline pattern you can reuse on any conformant Kubernetes cluster, plus a clear picture of where the hypervisor layer helps with availability and isolation.
Prerequisites: basic familiarity with kubectl and Git. No vSphere administration experience needed.
